I want a text-only field which I can double-click to select in full, and I do not want to contact I'm working with disappearing from view under an info panel because I click on it! It should be one of the easiest and simplest. This is crazy.Ĭopying an email address from a contact list is one of the most basic operations. I can, with some care so I do not accidentally click on it, manually select the text of the URL, and then hit ctrl-c to copy that's it.
On this panel, the email address is presented as hyperlink you can click on it, to write a message, or click on the "write" button to do the same. This presents an info panel which covers the bottom part of the contact list (which abruptly covers up the contact in question, if it was toward the bottom of the page). I want to copy individual email addresses, so I can paste them in another application. I do appreciate Thunderbird is free and so I have no grounds in principle to complain.
